I am new here and just started doing the catching fire. I am wondering since its only 12 mins, a difficult 12 for me, but should I be doing a longer workout with it to really see results. I already lift during the day and have been doing the catching fire close to bed time.
I'm not a BodyRock moderator or anything, but I can tell you that when I started doing BodyRock several years ago, simply doing a 12min workout all-out every day, and cleaning up my diet was enough to start seeing results within about a week. Co-workers were making comments within about 2 or 3 weeks. So if you're doing a 12min HIIT workout AND lifting weights, I bet you'll see results quite soon!
Once I got pretty darn fit, to start seeing even more results, I did Lisa Marie's 30 Day Real Time challenge (when she was first doing and uploading it!) which you can get now in Sweatflix. Those workouts will kick your bum HARD, but I saw crazy results FAST! I think for a newcomer it might be a little overwhelming and not necessary (Catching Fire is great!), but if you're already a fit chick, then it will get you more fit pretty darn quick.
Thank you for the response Erinn, I plan on doing the other workouts but I know I am not ready for the advanced yet. I always shy away from HIIT, but I am at a plateau and need to get over it. Regarding the Catching Fire, do you know it looks like there are videos missing. There is no day 5 as well as some others. Are the missing days supposed to be rest days?
That's always my understanding. "Missing" days are rest days for all of the challenges/series. But like Lisa Marie says, you should try to still do something on rest days, like a little walk, light yoga or a light jog.
Good luck getting over your plateau, you can do it!! :-) :-) :-)
Thanks Ernn. I added the 100 day challenge, yesterday plus abs, dead lifts, pull ups etc. I try to always to something.
Oh this is a great thread. New to Sweatflix but have been working out with Lisa and Sean for a few years, very sporadically at best. Now I am ready for the real deal, the real results, so I signed up for a year of Sweatflix :). I was also wondering where to start and Erinn you helped me bunches, THANK YOU!!
Yea for signing up for a full year!! :-) Are you still hiiting it hard now?
